Privacy, plainly stated.

Effective August 20, 2026. This notice describes the website, local draft-saving tools, and rolling expression-of-interest intake.

Who is responsible

Give Compute, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, is responsible for the personal information formally submitted through this website. Questions, requests to access or correct information, and deletion requests can be sent to hello@givecompute.org.

Information you enter

The interest form asks for a participation path, organization or team, contact name, contact email, optional website, what you want to explore, and any additional context you choose to provide.

Do not include secrets, credentials, detailed personal records, protected health information, or other sensitive data in your submission.

What stays in the browser

Form answers are automatically saved in local browser storage on the device you are using. Local drafts are not sent to Give Compute, do not create an account, and are not available on another device. Clearing browser data may remove them.

Simply entering information does not submit it. Information is sent only when you confirm the disclosure and choose “Share your interest.”

Rolling submissions

When you explicitly choose “Share your interest,” the completed form is sent through Give Compute’s submission service and stored in its Firebase project with a submission timestamp and confirmation reference. Resend is used to email a copy to the contact address you provide.

The information is used to understand potential deployments, contributions, technical expertise, research, and program partnerships; assess mission and operational fit; and communicate with you.

Submissions are not sold or used for advertising. Access is limited to people supporting intake, review, security, and program administration.

Service information

The companies that host this website, Firebase, and Resend may process ordinary technical information such as request timestamps, device or browser information, network addresses, delivery events, and error data to deliver and secure their services.

How information is used

Local draft information is used only to restore the form on your device. Submitted information is used to review and respond to expressions of interest and to develop Give Compute's work.

Retention and changes

Submissions are retained for up to 24 months after submission. If a submission results in a contribution, grant, contract, deployment, or other ongoing relationship, the records needed to administer that relationship may be retained for seven years after it ends. Records may be kept longer when required by law, needed to resolve a dispute, or necessary to protect the security and integrity of the program.

You may request deletion by emailing hello@givecompute.org. Give Compute will delete information that it is not legally or operationally required to retain and will explain any information it cannot delete. This notice may be updated; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date.
